Working at e-point

Three years of e-point Academy

Three years ago, Marek Berkan’s lecture “Release IT!” started a cycle of meetings where e-point experts shared their knowledge of technology and business with Warsaw’s university students.

We’ve called this the e-point Academy, and so far there have been:

  • 4 lectures
  • 35 meetings
  • 3 universities involved
  • 1,000 attendees
  • 10 e-point experts

During these meetings, we’ve shared programming and project management best practices. Thanks to our lectures, the listeners (mainly students) learn about the practical side of IT. We talk about specific applications and about the business environment, which allows students to see the realities of working in the industry.

Each lecture closes with a Q&A session where we bounce ideas around and exchange experiences. Then, we end the session with an informal chat (that’s not limited to IT) and some delicious pizza.

Our Academy interactions are not just lectures; we also host practical workshops and original events. One of these is MIMkołajki ,which is held on December 6. During this event, e-point delegates welcome students, strike up conversations, and discuss how to better the students’ chances of landing a job or internship.

We enjoy sharing knowledge

Knowledge can provide a competitive advantage. And we enjoy sharing knowledge, whether it’s through e-point Academy or our informal e-point talks. All e-point personnel who have participated agree that preparing lectures and getting feedback is a great experience.

"Preparing a lecture is an interesting process. It allows you to get a different perspective on things and sort out ideas. Talking to students is extremely energizing - a real motivation burst!"
