Environmental Initiatives at e-point SA

As a technology company, we believe that the development of modern IT solutions should go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. That is why we consistently implement measures aimed at reducing the climate impact of our operations and optimizing the use of resources.

Energy Efficiency

We systematically monitor electricity consumption and the energy source mix used by our key IT infrastructure providers. We also monitor the share of energy from renewable sources (Renewable Energy Guarantee – REG), which is close to 100% for our main infrastructure providers. This enables us to make informed choices when selecting partners and to support the development of services based on a more sustainable energy mix.

We are also committed to modernizing our own infrastructure. As part of our server replacement program, we implemented new solutions that deliver approximately 57% higher computing performance per watt of energy, allowing us to significantly increase the energy efficiency of our services.

In our offices, we use energy-efficient lighting fixtures, and all computers are equipped with mechanisms that automatically switch them to sleep mode when inactive.

Responsible Equipment Management

We focus on solutions that help extend the lifecycle of IT equipment. In our day-to-day work, we primarily use energy-efficient laptops, while decommissioned equipment that remains technically functional is given a second life through resale.

Equipment that can no longer be reused is transferred for professional and responsible disposal in accordance with applicable regulations governing electronic waste.

Lower Emissions Through a Modern Work Model

We are developing a hybrid and remote work model that reduces the number of employees’ daily commutes, thereby contributing to lower transport-related emissions.

For business travel, we encourage the use of public transport wherever possible and appropriate. At the same time, to reduce the need for travel, meetings with clients and business partners are conducted online whenever feasible.

We also support more sustainable commuting options by providing employees with bicycle parking facilities and showers for those who cycle to work.

Our environmental initiatives form part of our adopted ESG Policy and also include promoting electronic document workflows and implementing solutions that improve the energy efficiency of our operations. We believe that even small changes, when introduced consistently every day, can have a tangible impact on reducing our environmental footprint.
