Analysis of the technical correctness of the system made by another supplier
For Rowińska Business Coaching (RBC), we conducted a quality audit of the ongoing implementation of a new online store.
About the client
Kamila Rowińska is one of the most respected business and soft skills trainers, a certified coach as well as author and co-author of business and coaching books. She promotes and sells her services through an online platform.
Problem with current technology partner
RBC ordered its technology partner to prepare a new version of her store, based on Magento technology.
However, after several months, the project was not completed, so the client needed to check whether the store was being prepared according to best practices.
An additional problem was the fact that the implementation team changed several times and not all project findings were taken into account in its later stages.
Need for revision
RBC representatives came to e-point with the need to perform a technical analysis to gather information and develop an opinion on the technical correctness and quality of the system implemented by another supplier.
The audit was to provide answers to key questions:
Given the quality of the implementation so far, is it worth completing the implementation?
If it is – will the solution have bugs that block business?
If it isn’t – why not?

Audit stages
Conducting the analysis required us to do the following:
- prepare a supplier-independent environment for application installation;
- install the application in this environment;
- check the correctness of the installation of the developed modules;
- verify the correct operation of the cache system;
- establish if it is possible to update the Magento components used;
- examine the technical correctness of the application development.
Analysis and conclusions
The result of the above activities is a report that includes the following:
- information about the result of installing the application in an independent environment;
- evaluation of the correctness of the installation of the modules developed;
- verification of the correct operation of the application cache mechanism;
- evaluation of the possibility of updating the version of the Magento application;
- evaluation of the technical quality of application implementation (without business aspects).
