1. About the client
For over 60 years, Leifheit has been a leading provider of household products such as cleaning tools, laundry dryers, and ironing equipment. The brand’s products, valued for their high quality and innovation, are available in 80 countries around the world.
Our partnership with Leifheit spans many years. It began with a starter e-commerce platform implementation in Poland, followed by the implementation of a PWA standard and a full redesign of the Polish online store. After the starter project's success, the company chose to expand to Germany and other markets in which it operates. As the next natural step in the brand’s digital evolution, Leifheit migrated to the modern Shopware Cloud platform.
This was one of the first large-scale Shopware Cloud implementations in Europe, covering both e-commerce stores and non-commerce websites across more than a dozen language versions.
2. The Challenge
Cost Optimization and a Better-Suited Solution
Leifheit made a strategic decision to switch platforms, seeking a further online expansion while reducing licensing, development, and maintenance costs. After a joint analysis of available options with e-point and external consultants, Leifheit selected Shopware Cloud as the solution best suited to its needs.
"We made the right decision—not only in choosing the software but also in selecting the right partner. Our long-term business relationship with e-point has proven to be a valuable asset. They consistently bring flexibility, creativity, and dedication to every project. This latest initiative expands our capabilities and is set to drive our business forward."
The client's key requirements included:
Fast migration
To be completed before the SAP Hybris license expires.
Full integration with existing systems
Including ERP, PIM, and CRM.
Functionality transfer
Auditing processes and eliminating unused functionality.
Agile delivery methodology
Adaptable to evolving project scope.
Agile Project Execution
Due to a tight implementation schedule, we carried out the migration using the Scrum methodology, which allowed us to dynamically adapt to changing requirements. The project was divided into seven 3-week sprints, followed by a hypercare phase — a period of intensive support and platform optimization.
3. Scope
